hit It was a sea of blonde tresses, leopard print and fringed suede as Sydney's groupies gathered to celebrate The Basement's new front door. There were plenty of rockers, old and new, to ogle but the ladies were most distracted by the strapping young lad behind the bar sporting a bandaged eye courtesy of an infected eyebrow piercing.

miss The Whitlams' Tim Freedman is the Tasmanian tiger of the social circuit; occasionally sighted yet rarely shot by big game-hunting photographers. He eluded capture yet again, but rock royalty in the form of Brian Cadd was more than happy to pose for us.
